The staff at the Peabody is simply amazing from the people who work at the valet station to the front desk to room service. They are always kind, courteous and extremely helpful. When I checked in, I had made my reservations through booking. Com and for some reason, my reservation was not showing up in the Peabody's computer. The front desk person looked at my reservation form and checked me in using the rate on the form, no hassle, no problems. Al at the valet stand remembered me from my prior visit and made me feel at home. And last time I stayed, I commented that the fitness room had some issues and was somewhat outdated. The gm wrote back to me to let me know the fitness room would be worked on, and sure enough, I see it has new floors, a working tv and got a mini-overhaul. Now that's service!
Nothing really. I love the Peabody and whenever I have to come to Baltimore for work, it's my hotel of choice. It feels welcoming and unique in a way that some of the huge, boxy chains down the hill never do. I applaud the management for building such a great team and for providing such a great atmosphere for guests.
Friendly staff; with a nice restaurant (George's) where we ate breakfast and lunch (on another day). Nice rooms and great location in Mt. Vernon near theWalters Art Museum. Quiet respite from the harbor area with a lot of tourists. Loved the area's architecture.
A little pricey for us @ $193.00 for a king bed.
We had several meals at George's of Mt. Vernon restaurant. The food was very good and the restaurant staff was attentive. It was definitely the highlight of our experience at Wyndham Baltimore Peabody Court.
Other than the restaurant, the level of service at the hotel was poor. When our room had not been cleaned by 5:00 pm one day, I had to contact the front desk to get maid service. The last day we were there our room never was cleaned. A room service tray with food scraps was left in the hall all day. I passed it at 8:00 am and it was still there at 3:00 pm. We had to call the front desk twice before it was finally picked up after 5:00 that afternoon.
Great location, quiet rooms, perfect service at the reception. Smooth pick-up and drop-off of the car at the valet parking. 29$ is a bit steep though. Very friendly staff, really, and the rooms are incredibly spacious.
The vending machine didn't work.
The desk clerks were very helpful, pleasant, cooperative, and most of all very friendly. My daughter made contact with the front desk looking for me. They were very protective of my privacy and at the same time were very professional with my daughter. I look forward to visiting Baltimore again in the near future and want to stay at the Wyndham. I choose the hotel basially for the price and after my first night I learn that the location of the hotel is wonderful. The hotel is located near a park and there were so many sights in the area that I visited and enjoyed.
I missed eating in the hotel's diner, the staff was very friendly.
Peabody had an authentic atmosphere, a quiet room and good value for money - after a busy conference day I made myself a lovely cup of chamomille thee and checked my email in my kingsize bed before sleeping - exactly what I needed. Next time I will choose Peabody again!
Don't except too much of the breakfast - it's all right though.
I didn't like the location, the areas near to hotel are unsafe for walking especially at night as well as the furniture is very old my reservation were for 6 days but after 2 days I was decide to leave the hotel to hilton garden in
The employees are wonderful. Friendly, helpful, attentive. Great service. Beautiful hotel, amazing neighborhood, spacious rooms. Plus mini-fridges, flat screen TVs and wifi. I love it!
The only thing I'd love to see improved is the "fitness center." It's a couple of broken cardio machines, the TV only gets a few channels (and that's cable), it's really hot in there and for the one kind of rickety cardio machine that does work, it's not a room where you actually want to spend anytime. So I pay $20 a throw to go to Merritt Athletic Club a few blocks away on Center Street.
Tremendous bang for the buck. Our room was spacious and the marble bathroom close to elegant. Leslie, at the front desk couldn't have been kinder and took the time to find us the best room available; a corner room with a view of the park. Our plan was to spend the afternoon at the Walters Art Gallery which was yards away. Mount Vernon is a charming place to stay.
The rooms could use updating
Older building and very European in atmosphere. Nice diningroom and our room was very spacious. Right across the street from an art museum and a nice park.
Only thing we didn't like was that the hot water in the shower was an "on demand" system and it took a long time to get warm. My husband took a complete shower before it even warmed up. The delay in getting hot water was very annoying.
Friendly, great cafe/restaurant, centrally located.
